Time for the Five for Friday! Today we’re talking cake pops – nom nom nom! This tasty treat is perfect for portion control, unless, of course, you’re like me and can’t avoid eat a few too many (woops). Here are five picks for online sources for these little bits of yumminess, in no particular order since I have yet to try them all.

#1: Jen’s Pop Shoppe: You have no idea how long I’ve been drooling over that photo. Cake pops? Check? Rainbows? Check? Full of awesome? Check. Now if only they were actually in front of me…

#2: Cocoa Confections: It’s not the first time I’ve said this, but there are very few instances in my book where glitter is a bad thing. Okay, maybe there are quite a few things glitter shouldn’t be on, but on a cake pop? That gets an A for Awesome in my book.

#3: The Sweet Source: I love the look of the cake pops by the Sweet Source. The color combinations featured in the store, combined with different styling treatments, make my tummy rumble.

#4: Entirely Sweet: Typically, I go for just your average ball of cake pop (I feel bad quickly downing anything more intricate), but these cake pop baby blocks are adorable, aren’t they? What a great find for a baby shower or first birthday!

#5: Buttercream Bling: Okay, so now it’s colored glitter cake pops in addition to the classic metallics? More win.

While I was prop shopping for a party I’m throwing for little Aurora (a sip and see that will take place in late May!), I came across the Papered Nest and found these fabulous cupcake stands and decorative treat sticks. Both the treat sticks and the cupcake stands come in a wide variety of colors, so they’d be great for any occasion and can fit any color palette. The treat sticks have solid options but also have fun, graphic patterns available, which are my favorite! There’s also other great details available, so check out the shop for more fantastic finds!

Hello, everyone! I’m finally getting back into business, so thanks for bearing with me while I adjust to my new life as a Momma. I’ll be sharing Aurora’s first monthly photo later this week (I can’t believe she’s five weeks already!), but today I’d like to share a sneak peak at a new series I’ll be starting called Five for Friday. Yes, I know it’s not Friday, but it seems appropriate to do a top picks for birthday cakes since, well, today is my 28th! Every week I’ll share a different themed top picks list for parties or for home. Enjoy this mouthwatering list!

#1: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Devil’s Food Cake Cheesecake by Sprinkles Bakes: I saw this and thought, oh dear, there goes all of my attempts to lose the baby weight. I don’t even think being a breastfeeding Momma is going to help me here. I’m going to tackle this today as my birthday cake (yes, I’m baking my own cake. No, I’m not bummed about it. I love baking.), so I’ll report back – but honestly, I don’t see how this couldn’t be amazing.

#2: Campfire Delight 6 Layer Rich Chocolate Malted & Toasted Marshmallow Cake by Sweetapolita: I love everything Rosie does (and she’s just as sweet as all of her fantastic pastries!), but this cake has always been a must for me. I’ve converted them to cupcakes before (nom!), but I’ve never made it into a cake. One day!

#3: Pink Rainbow Cake by Call Me Cupcake: I go through love-hate cycles with pink, and since I’ve been pregnant and then found out I was having a girl, I went from a “love” cycle to an “adore” cycle. The only way pink gets better for me right now is in an ombre form, and then to make it into a cake on top of it? And then top it with cake bunting? You’re killing me.

#4: Mint White Chocolate Mousse Cake by Sprinkle Bakes: This looks amazing and would be such a great nontraditional birthday cake. I especially adore the idea of it being used for winter birthdays because of the flavor profile!

#5: Inside Out Neopolitan Layer Cake by Sweetapolita: The perfect cake for someone who can’t decide what kind of cake he or she wants – get three flavors in one, along with a serious serving of cute.
