Hello, everyone! Today, I’m excited to share some holiday inspiration I whipped up for a partnership with a company I’m personally a regular shopper with (for Confetti Pop and for personal purchases!). A few weeks ago, Home Goods asked me to shop my local store and come up with a look based on their new StyleScope. StyleScope is a quick and easy way to discover what your design style is based on a series of pictures you choose based on what you respond to. No shock here: I came in as a “Vegas Baby” – in other words, I like some bling. My secondary style was Urban Funk, which is perfect for me given my love of industrial modern and mid-century modern.
After checking out some great tips on how to design in the Vegas Baby style, I hopped on over to my local Home Goods and picked up some awesome pieces – including a gorgeous gold cake stand, some fun mixed metallic patterned gift boxes, and some STUNNING tableware and paillette pillows – and then mixed them with some Home Goods loot I’d already acquired and my vintage brass candlesticks.
Check out what I did below, then scroll for some styling tips and info on how to win one of two $50 gift cards to style up your own holiday!
- Don’t be able to mix metals or textures, but keep it cohesive: limit your palette or texture number so that it doesn’t get too crazy.
- Sometimes Home Goods doesn’t have as many of an item as you’d like, but I love to embrace that! Use the opportunity to be creative and mix and match. For example, I found the gorgeous salad plates I used because the ones that matches the dinner plates only had three available. It adds so much character to match the two styles, and softens the geometric look of the place setting.
- I love to use fresh flowers, but they get super pricey in the winter. That’s the perfect time to shop the holiday decor and glassware section of Home Goods for unique pieces to decorate the tablescape with, like the two Hollywood Regency urns I used. I also snagged a great white pedestal bowl for $12 and filled it with ornaments I already had on hand, creating more impact on the table than I could have with even double that price in flowers.
- They’re great for comfort, but decorative pillows are a must for me when creating a tablescape. They add an unexpected pop of color and texture to the look and help pull the style together. Check out our other inspiration shoots on Confetti Pop – you’ll see how often I use them there!
And now, for the moment you’ve all been waiting for… the prize! You can win one of two $50 Home Goods gift cards - all you need to do is visit the StyleScope site and take the quiz to find out what your style is. Comment on this post to share what your results were, and then tell us what you want to pick up at Home Goods with your winnings to make your holiday entertaining perfect! Giveaway ends Friday the 20th at 11:59 pm.
This post is sponsored by Home Goods. They provided me with a gift card to purchase the items used in this shoot and the giveaway gift cards. No other compensation was received. All opinions expressed are my own.
