Announcing: The Style Lab Photo Styling E-Course

The Style Lab Styling E-Course from Confetti Pop via Somewhere Splendid.

Today I’m thrilled to announce that the Confetti Pop team (ie, Shauna and me) is currently developing a special 4 week online styling course for bloggers, shop owners, and anyone else interested in prettying up their photos. After the huge success of our workshop at Alt Summit, we’ve decided to go forward with an extended online version of the course, which we’re calling The Style Lab. We’ll be covering everything from basic styling tools and techniques to more advanced topics like using styling to develop a brand. While the class focuses mainly on prop styling, we’ll also be touching on basic lighting and photography as well as some food styling tips and tricks.

Interested? We’ll be opening each class to only a limited number of students in order to foster one-on-one attention and also encourage constructive discussion between students in a forum format. We’ve put together a mailing list that will get the first head’s up when registration is live, so we highly suggest you sign up if you want in! While you’re at it, let us know if there’s anything you’d like to see make it into the class content in the comments section below, and we’ll consider it for inclusion!

Edited to Add: This will be a much deeper delve into the subject than we offered at Alt Summit, so even if you were able to make it, you should definitely sign up!

  2. Will there be an homework/assignment element to the workshop? The workshop itself sounds awesome but coming out with potential portfolio pieces would make it a must-do for me. Thanks!

  3. Hey Amy! Yes, there will be a homework element to each week. It’s optional, so you’re only required to share it with us and your peers if you want feedback (obviously, we highly encourage sharing so we can give you a full experience and can personalize your learning!).
