Party Inspiration: A Luxe Circus Baby Shower

Today, I have the pleasure of featuring a shoot I styled with a bunch of my talented party industry friends. With the help of Dani of Studio Fleurette, Wing of Canary Grey Photography, and Sarah of On Solid Ground Vintage Rentals, this inspiration for a baby shower (or bridal shower! We think it works just as well for a girls’ brunch!) was originally supposed to be a sip and see for my daughter. Unfortunately, since it was the weekend before Memorial Day, a lot of our friends were out of town, so we’ve opted to reschedule for later in the summer. Since our team had already done so much work, we decided to go forward anyway, and I must say I’m so bummed it wasn’t a real party because it would have been a show stopper!

If you love the invitation suite I designed for Rory, it’s available in our Etsy shop, A Splendid Party. I also have a few DIY projects to share over the next few days from this shoot, so stay tuned!

Thanks to Jen from Green Wedding Shoes and Kara of Kara’s Party Ideas for featuring our little shoot on their blogs as well!

  5. Hey, I know this may sound like a silly question, but I REALLY want animal figures for my center pieces at my wedding. I can’t find suitable ones aaaanywhere. Could you let me know if they where purchased online somewhere? Thanks!

  9. I know this was posted last summer, but I want to do something similar (indoors) for my daughter’s first birthday next month. I’m in love with the whole party; specifically, I’d like to know about the table runner… Did you make it with ribbon? What is it backed with?
    Thank you!

  10. Hi Laura, the ribbon runner is secured to the table with double stick tape. Not a lot – just enough to keep it in place.
