Hello, everyone! I don’t have much of a week in review for you this week, but I did want to check in and let everyone know that posting over the next week will probably be light as I focus on preprogramming this blog for my maternity leave. I can’t believe it’s come so fast – it seems like only yesterday I was announcing that we were expecting our little girl – but now she’s due at any moment and I want to make sure that Somewhere Splendid gets relatively uninterrupted posting in my absence.

• My nursery post on Hellobee uses my favorite two M words: mid-century and metallic. Another M word for it? Marvelous.
• My favorite styling tips are ones that are simply enough for anyone to achieve – and this beautiful gold confetti runner idea is a brilliant example of that.
