At the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market yesterday, I scored some amazing peonies at the equally astonishing price of $1 per stem. Yep, I made this setup for $12. You read that right, $12. I accented the peonies with lamb’s ear from my garden (it’s currently growing like weeds in my backyard!). Obviously I’m not including the cost of the props, which I already owned, but everything is also pretty affordable. I even got the curtain on sale from Urban Outfitters a couple months ago.
I think this could be an adorable set up for a shabby chic garden party or tea party. It’s easy to recreate (putting this together took 15 minutes, literally) and is the perfect for summer entertaining! Enjoy, and happy weekend!

what a beautiful idea!…and it’s amazing that you only spent so little money on it.
we have the same exact peonies in our backyard, but would have never thought of doing a shoot with it like this.

beautiful! happy new week!
Hard to beat peonies for sheer exuberant charm!
I love peonies! This look is great. I need to do a better job of remembering what I already have on hand that I could mix and match to make a beautiful set up.
