Maddy’s a super happy camper today. And when Maddy’s a super happy camper, Maddy speaks in the third person.
The biggest benefit of living in Minnesota (in my humble opinion) is how prevalent mid-century style is in the community. A lot of houses are built in that style, and there’s a lot of the original furniture still hanging out in the Twin Cities. Even better, in many cases it’s very affordable.
I’m attempting to kick it into high gear on the home decorating front, and a big part of that list is to get some furniture, particularly for the living and dining room area. I scoured Craigslist on my lunch break yesterday, and found these two pieces of furniture – a Danish style mid-century dining set and a mid-century china cabinet. Conveniently enough, they’re also being sold by the same person. Sweet!
We’re going to check them out tonight and hopefully love them so much in person that we’ll purchase them and pick them up on Saturday. Cross your fingers!
